One building, three functions.

Our Rote Schule in Wilhelmsruh serves multiple functions under one roof: it’s an extracurricular learning space for the children of the Pankower Früchtchen facilities, a community hub for the neighborhood with courses and regular events through MGH Pankow, and a place for overnight accommodations for our international guests.

Our motto is „Open the gates – let life in.“ This includes fostering encounters with different countries and cultures, which we promote through student exchanges, project trips, job shadowing for our staff, and visits from foreign groups.

To support this exchange, we will be offering the Rote Schule as overnight accommodation for our international guests in the future.

The Pankower Früchtchen have been accredited for the EU Erasmus+ programme for the 2021-2027 period. More information about the programme can be found here.

On the 1st and 2nd floors, former classrooms (each about 59 square meters) have been converted into overnight accommodations for up to 10 people per room. The rooms are divided by gender, with accompanying staff typically accommodated in single rooms. Each floor has its own toilet facilities. In total, the building can host up to 45 people across the two floors.
